Industrias Plásticas, S.A. de C.V. was born in 1958, offering for more than 60 years, products to satisfy flexible packaging needs, through the transformation and processing of High and Low Density Polyethylene, incorporating in the production line, the co-extruded packaging since 2002, until developing high barrier co-extruded of 5 and 7 layers covering the expectations of our domestic and foreign customers.
We are present throughout the region: México, Central America, South America and the Caribbean; meeting the demand for flexible films with state-of-the-art technology, European equipment and machinery.
Our accumulated experience has led us to become technological leaders in the plastics industry and since 2006, we evolved to become a company certified under ISO 9001 – 2015 standards, recertifying in 2020 in ISO 9001 -2018, in addition to certify us in ISO 2200:2018 of food safety, demonstrating once again, our quality to the current demands of the globalized world.

- To have competent personnel in continuous training on quality and safety aspects and identified with the organizational objectives, with emphasis on good practices based on operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Timely and effective communication within the company and externally to the rest of the food chain on relevant aspects of quality and safety, which are under our scope to be controlled, as well as all interested parties.
- Promote environmental care and corporate social responsibility. Based on risk management and promotion of a self-care culture.
IPSA
1946
Salvador Vairo and his family arrived in El Salvador in search of asylum due to the fact that during World War II his name was on the “black list” of the United States, a nation that considered Italy as its enemy for not supporting it in World War II. At the age of 21, Salvador Vairo and his brother started a successful shirt factory, which they named “Vairo Hermanos”.
1955
Mexico stopped supplying cellophane bags for packing shirts. The Mexican government banned the use of tree bark fiber, so manufacturers had to substitute cellophane for plastic bags. Salvador traveled to Mexico and when he saw that the machine producing plastic bags was Italian, he did not hesitate to travel to his native Italy to acquire one of the machines and thus be able to produce his own bags, becoming the only machine producing plastic bags in Central America.
1955
Don Carlos Alvarez asked Salvador to manufacture 1.5 million plastic bags with holes, the first coffee nursery bags to be manufactured in Central America. These bags changed the efficiency of coffee planting at a regional level and was one of IPSA’s major contributions to Central American agricultural development.
1958
Don Salvador Vairo founded IPSA, without imagining the success it would achieve, generating many job opportunities for Salvadorans in the plastics sector.
1997
Don Salvador founded the Association of Plastics Producers of El Salvador, which is made up of 44 competing companies.
1999
Don Salvador is recognized as Industrialist of the Year by the Salvadoran Association of Industrialists (ASI), thanks to his constant contributions to the creation and industrial development, as well as his contribution to the plastics producers’ guild.
2006
We have evolved to become an ISO9001:2015 certified company, demonstrating once again our quality in the face of the demands of the globalized world.
2012
Se crea la fundación para el Desarrollo Integral de los Trabajadores de la Industria del Plástico, logrando mejorar competencias, convirtiendo a los colaboradores en personas con conocimientos especializados.
2020
In 2020 we were certified with the ISO 22000:2018 food safety management system standard by the International Organization for Standardization ISO.

As a strategic vision since 2006 we have had ISO 9001:2008 certification, and we have migrated in 2016 to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard, which has allowed us to grow and develop as an industry, thus guaranteeing our customers the quality of their products and services.
